Claims Supervisor Job in Edmonton T5M3S2, Alberta Canada
The Warranty Claims Supervisor leads the adjudication team and manages day to day inputs and outputs of the warranty system to assist the claims function in meeting its business objectives. The position will enhance the profitability of The Brick Group by limiting claims expense through data analysis and policy change.
- Manage and develop a team of warranty adjudicators
- Assist in reducing $25 million in annual warranty claims
- Manage the knowledge base of manufacturer and technician inputs
- Feedback on quality issues to the Quality Control Team and buyers
- Input daily warranty price changes based on flyers and promotions
- Create and maintain warranty codes
- Define warranty coverage and policies
- Hold calibration sessions between the adjudication team and call centre staff
- Manage solution scripting
- Assist in determining the form and type of technical solutions
- Analyze and maintain the repair / replace logic in warranty software to maintain optimal profitability
- Suggest pricing and coverage changes to enhance warranty attachment and minimize costs based on data.
- Analyze and report on errors in the warranty sales process, manage the process to input data that falls out of the automated transfer
- Identify process improvement needs and recommend changes to enhance productivity and quality of service; achieve service standards.
- Assist with all aspects of claims management
- Perform all duties in compliance within established work standards, policies and procedures
Job Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills Abilities:
- Financial analysis and reporting
- Basic understanding of insurance and warranty concepts
- Ability to analyze data and translate it into business processes
- Ability to deal with difficult customers and situations; this includes problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills in order to work within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to deal with problems involving several unchanging variables in similar situations
- Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Windows operating system and Microsoft Office
- Must be a team player with a strong commitment to quality and customer service
Education Experience:
- Degree in Finance or related discipline would be considered a definite asset
- Minimum 2 years of related experience
- Experience providing front line customer service would be considered a definite asset
- Bilingual skills (French/English) would be considered a definite asset
