Claims Team Member Job in North West Uk
Job Summary
We're seeking a Claims Assessor to join our busy Claims team in Salford Quays. You’ll be responsible for processing claims in an accurate, timely manner in line with departmental KPI’s. In this role you’ll be required to assess and analyse accounts and invoices. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring that Bupa’s benefits spend is in accordance with the policies and rules relevant to our member’s policies and Bupa contracted agreement as providers of healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Working towards agreed department Key Performance Indictors, to ensure effective resolution a high first time pass rate and effective resolution of suspended invoices/accounts, therefore maintaining group/customer expectations
- Examining information submitted by consultants or members and supporting documentation to ensure correct coding and terminology
- Appropriately challenging consultants and hospitals where charges are in excess of Bupa's benefit limits or contractual agreement by following agreed processes and protocols
- Liaising with internal and external customers in order to obtain and provide sufficient information for claims to be actioned via all methods of communication
- Understanding responsibilities within FSA and all other regulatory requirements
- Providing a point of contact for other areas of the business through the Helpdesk function
- Managing all customer contacts including claims in line with regulatory requirements
