CLEARING LOGGING SPECIALIST
First Mercury Financial Corporation, headquartered in Southfield, Michigan, is seeking a Clearing and Logging Specialist for our Policy Processing Department.

We provide insurance products and services to specialty commercial insurance markets, focusing on niche and underserved segments. In addition, through our insurance services business we provide underwriting, claims and other insurance services to third parties, including insurance carriers and customers.
ABOUT THE JOB…
· This position will handle detailed client searches, data entry and logging
· Compile material to prepare policies, endorsements, cancellations and invoices
· Verifies accuracy of all policy calculations
· Prepares policy forms
· Enters data into computer system
· Distributes final documents/paperwork by mail to agents and internal sources
· Operates photocopier as needed
· Other related duties as assigned
EDUCATION . . .
Associates Degree preferred. One-year office/clerical experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
COMPUTER SKILLS…
Familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
LANGUAGE SKILLS…
Ability to read and interpret documents such as regulation and procedure manuals and program instruction sheets. Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence.
