This iconic financial services firm is currently entering a new era in their already long and successful existence. Seen as a cornerstone in Australia’s Financial Markets, the organisation is embarking on an exciting strategic growth initiative to increase their service offerings to the Financial Institutions market, both domestically and internationally. The goal is ultimately to stamp their dominance in the market and continue to position themselves competitively with their international peers.
Focussing on both their Settlement and Clearing services, we are looking for an industry professional to help support the Senior Manager in the operational management and relationship management of 2 key settlement clients. Specific key goals and tasks will include:
- Manage the daily client relationships with post trade customers including onboarding, troubleshooting and client servicing.
- Help develop and support the implementation of new products.
- Ensure internal and external client risk, operational and regulatory requirements are adhered to.
- Contribute to identifying business growth opportunities and process improvements.
- Managing and developing a team.
- Extensive customer interaction and relationship management.
This is a key position and will be highly visible throughout the company. The person in this role is expected to be able to exhibit a high level of industry knowledge and commercial acumen, be passionate about making a tangible difference and be able to use their influencing skills to work with key stakeholders in presenting business cases and strategies.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 5 years Financial Markets experience in a managerial capacity - from a Custody, Broking, Exchange or Advisory background. Ideally from a post-trade role.
- Extensive knowledge of OTC Cash, Debt and Exchange traded products
- Proven strategic thinking and commercial abilities.
- A thorough understanding of the Clearing and Settlements industry including the current market environment and future trends.
- Current knowledge of the Australian Financial Markets Regulatory environment.
- First class client and senior key stakeholder influencing and relationship management abilities.
- Eligibility to work in Australia (essential)
