The Department

Client Account Managers work with the distribution channels to provide customer support on several levels and stages of the firms relationship with the customer.

Overview of the Role

• Provision of first-class service to institutional clients and their consultants, meeting individual needs in a timely and efficient manner

• Management of relationships with clients (internal and external) and investment consultants

• Handling of queries and performance of account administration to support these.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Client Relationships

-Provide ultimate ownership for resolution of all non-investment related client queries

-Act as liaison point between client and transition team for all client transitions

-Have responsibility for ensuring any changes to mandate are communicated to legal and reflected in IMAs / letters of amendment.

-Manage the relationships with the client, in agreement with the Client Director and client team.

-Use technical knowledge and experience to ensure the administration of the client’s funds runs smoothly- e.g. Transitions, accounting queries, settlement queries, custody, cash movements, tax matters.

-Proactively anticipate clients’ requirements by maintaining regular contact. Respond to client queries and requests promptly and efficiently, involving third party administrators (TPAs), custodians and internal departments e.g. Finance, Performance Team.

-Understand the SLA between the firm and third party administrators, manage client director/ client expectations as appropriate.

Other Responsibilities

-Ensure the client reporting team is aware of the requirements for each client.

-Liaise with relevant departments concerning compliance, regulatory issues, performance measurement, fee and finance related matters.

-Maintain client database, recording any contact with clients, ensuring all client and fund information is up to date and all work activity is tracked, in line with Department procedure.

-Ensure Fund Profiles are updated on an ad-hoc basis and undertake an annual review

-Ensure all regulatory AML requirements are updated annually

-Lead or assist in projects as directed

-Have responsibility for co-ordinating all client communications regarding changes to products.

-Create, co-ordinate and assist with presentations where required

-Maintain and improve investment product and market knowledge

-Understand performance and its impact on relationships both internal and external

Technical Skills Qualifications Required

• IMC (preferred but not essential)

• Experience in working with Institutional clients with both pooled and segregated assets (preferred)

• Ability to prioritise and manage time efficiently

• Good working knowledge of Word and Excel

If you have relevant client services experience with in Asset Management in a client relations role is essential.
