Client Accountant recruitment

We currently have an opportunity available for an Assistant Client Accountant at our client; a leading European insurance firm with global operations covering reinsurance, primary insurance and international health business.

The purpose of the role will be to assist the client accountant, responsible for all technical accounting issues within the branch. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining appropriate accounting arrangements
- Monitoring the quality and appropriateness of the client accounts
- Processing of client accounts
- Collection of premiums
- Payment of claims
- Developing methods to enhance the smooth running of the financial relationship with the client
- Administering relevant client accounts, technical posting, client cash balance, claims authorisation, accounts quality control and data collection

The successful assistant client accountant will possess the following key skills and experience:
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA)
- Previous experience in an assistant accountant role
- Strong Excel to include pivot tables
- ability to work accurately and to deadlines
- Sun/Vision accounting system experience (desirable)
- Technical experience in life, health and disability insurance related fields (essential)
