Role Overview The Client Category Specialist Manager oversees a team of partner-funded specialists responsible for driving presales support around the desktop and notebook product categories. This position is also responsible for leading, mentoring, training and developing members of the Client Category team. Key Areas of Responsibility Act as a principle liaison between CDW partners and CDW sales to align customer expectations. Act as subject matter expert of all category partner programs and driving execution and awareness to CDW sales. Manage a team of coworkers, including performance management, coaching and development. Drive and motivate the team to achieve their revenue growth goals. Establish the process-related standards, guidelines, principles, governance, tools, methodologies and engagement techniques to drive both internal and external customer experience and drive efficiencies. Utilize available industry data and analysis to drive decisions and direction of team. Motivate team to sell the overall solution, and not just a piece of the solution. Coach team members on proactive ideas to help grow their partner?s revenue. Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and other CDW coworkers and work to identify new areas for building sales opportunities. Provide monthly reporting outlining various metrics and revenue data. Work with other category departments, to enhance CDW?s offer to our customers and have a better value proposition. Engage with Sales Management team to educate on the value of the client category specialists. Responsible for ensuring that direct reports have all the tools and training necessary to excel in their positions. Develop goals and direction for the team based on CDW objectives.
