Client Director, Fixed Income and GARS recruitment
ROLE CONTEXT
The role holder will work within the Global Account Management team. They will operate as part of a team of Client Directors and support staff, who are primarily involved in the profitable development and ongoing servicing of the Global Institutional Business at Standard Life Investments. This is achieved by delivering sales as opportunities arrive, coordinating client service with internal and external stakeholders and having strong awareness of marketplace and new product trends in the marketplace.
The team interacts with a number of key internal and external contacts. Internally, the team interacts with the various global sales teams, the Asset Class Teams and their heads, along with the Marketing, Sales Teams, Investment Specialists, Product and Business Development Teams and Administration teams. Building successful relationships with these areas is therefore key.
ROLE PURPOSE
The Client Director role will be involved in client servicing for Institutional mandates. They will also have involvement in servicing clients invested in a variety of asset classes but mostly focused on Fixed Income but also GARS. On the investment side the role holder will work to ensure smooth transitions of client mandates. The individual will also have some involvement in new business sales opportunities as opportunities arise.
In addition to the job purpose outlined above, a key responsibility will be to act closely with the Fixed Income GARS Strategy Champions.

• To support the Global Account Management team by servicing our existing clients to a high standard and drive new business from existing clients .

• Communicate investment strategies being implemented by Asset Class Managers to clients.
• To ensure that investment reports and literature is informative, comprehensive, client focused, accurate and timely.

• To help deliver the key outcomes set out in the business plan.
• Acquire a detailed knowledge of fund structures and systems pertaining to the relevant product lines.
• To acquire detailed knowledge of fund regulations and compliance issues.
• Provides an exceptional client experience through a focus on client needs at all times in line with the Company's TCF policy and is flexible when trying to meet and exceed client expectations.
CORE KNOWLEDGE
• Knowledge of Investment markets and relevant products.
• Understand Standard Life Investments’ investment strategy and control environment.
• A thorough knowledge of key competition and the competitive environment.
• Experience in working within a multi-asset environment and strong working knowledge of derivatives.
• The role holder is likely to have at least 3-4 years relevant investment experience.
• A good working knowledge of the legal and regulatory provisions associated with the role.
• Demonstrates an in depth knowledge of business processes and procedures in accordance with the Company's TCF policy as well as the compliance and legislative environment in which we operate.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Educated to degree level, with relevant experience in an investment related role
• Ideally the successful candidate should be IMC or CFA qualified
