Client Due Diligence Analyst
The CDD Associate aims to ensure all client CDD records are compliant with internal and regulatory standards, and will ensure high quality and timely completion of all requirements at the time of on-boarding and renewal of client relationships. The CDD Associate will report directly to the CET QA team Manager.
Key responsibilities:
- Review CDD cases submitted to the CET QA team to ensure it meets WB CDD Standards.
- Process all submitted cases in a timely manner including providing feedback to the concerned RM CET Makers.
- Liaise with Origination and Client Coverage Relationship Managers (RMs) CET Makers if submitted cases are found to be deficient from the expected standard.
- Take ownership of quality control issues related to client due diligence and partner with relevant stakeholders to resolve accordingly.
- Manage/update spreadsheets to record incoming work/reviews and maintain MIS of work handled by the team.
- Contribute to building expertise within the team and OCC with regard to CDD policy and procedures with a view to achieving expert status in order to provide front line support to the business.
- Support Manager on ad hoc projects.
- Develop and expand own knowledge base to be able to handle a variety of complex cases considering the broad footprint of the bank.
Qualifications Skills
- BSc/BA (Hons) Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Able to properly identify AML risks and demonstrate a solid grasp of AML/CDD policy.
- Working knowledge of risk factors that may impact specific products and industries is highly desirable.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent time management and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in financial services, preferably Corporate/Commercial Banking - Wholesale Banking experience desirable but not necessary.
