Client Executive – International Financial Institutions recruitment
The Financial Institutions Group (“FIG”) in SEB is responsible for managing the Bank’s overall relationships with other banks, asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds, central banks and sovereign wealth funds. The International FIG team focusses predominantly on asset managers, central banks and sovereign wealth funds.
We are now looking for a Client Executive ("CE") to be based in London. The CE coordinates marketing efforts towards the client and actively develops new business ideas in conjunction with the client, as well as the Bank’s product areas. Predominantly, these include Equities, Fixed Income, Securities Finance, Futures and Foreign Exchange, but Asset Management and Transaction Services are also relevant. Monitoring existing business and increasing product penetration are key features of the job. The CE also has ultimate responsibility regarding all credit-related risks on the counterparty.
Specific core responsibilities include:
- Responsibility for the UK portfolio of FIG clients
- Development of client relationships, with a focus on cross-selling of SEB products
- Risk and capital allocation
- Client team management
- Client profitability
The position reports to the Head of Financial Institutions Group, London
Candidate Profile
We seek a highly motivated and independent person, with 10+ years of relevant experience within wholesale banking. Good communication and interpersonal skills are vital. You will be comfortable working independently and you will have experience of managing multi-product client relationships at a senior level. Being a team player is key. You are educated to degree level in business administration, finance, or a related field and have strong analytical skills and a questioning mind. You have experience of working with strategic issues and speak and write English fluently.
