Client Integration Analyst recruitment

Position Description:

On their behalf we manage portfolios focusing on equity, fixed income, currencies, commodities, real assets, and active asset allocation, including hedge fund portfolios.

We are currently seeking an experienced Analyst for our Client Integration and Operations Interface Team (CIOI) in our London office.

CIOI is part of the Global Relationship Group (GRG), and works closely with and supports the relationship management teams on a variety of client operations issues, client on-boarding and transition events and operational risk management issues.

Responsibilities

The Client Operations Analyst (Analyst) will be responsible for supporting the broader CIOI team's two functions, Client Integration and Client Operations.

The Client Integration team provides full service project management of client transition events including new mandate fundings, terminations, all asset-in-kind flows and product/portfolio changes with an emphasis on operational risk management and control environment. The Client Operations team is responsible for providing specialised operational services and resolving operational inquiries from clients, prospects, and global relationship teams.

The Analyst will act as the primary operational liaison between relationship teams and various functional areas within Investment Administration, product management, trading and other functional areas. For their Client Operations responsibilities they will be part of a relationship team dedicated to a specific market segment. For Client Integration they will work with all areas of relationship management and the firm to support a variety of client transition events.

To this end the Analyst's Client Integration responsibilities are:

* Ensuring the timely and consistent delivery of documentation for new client accounts; orchestrating custodial and market openings and trade communication connectivity both internally and externally as well as coordinating the execution of asset in-kind processing
* Initiating account record set-up for new accounts and/or portfolios; peer review and approval of new account set-ups; and facilitating the proper use of internal trade restriction flags
* Providing assistance and training to colleagues as well as acting as local expert for account set-ups and all matters related to account transitions; maintaining procedure documents and workflow controls to capture changes in technology, product offerings, and our regulatory environment
* Assisting with transition manager asset-in-kind coordination and asset carve out for client flows, including: creating a representative account, reviewing asset lists for transferability, facilitating reviews and sign-offs
* Coordinating the reconciliation, aggregate ownership review and loading of external transition management trade execution files for new accounts

Client Operations responsibilities:

* Establishing and administering relationships with a broad range of clients, specifically within the EMEA and UK groups
* Providing direct operational support to clients and the relationship team
* Communicating and working through operational and business issues with internal groups
* Monitoring management summary reports generated internally and by vendors to ensure proper operational controls
* Participation in client meetings and conference calls as appropriate
* Providing third party vendor reporting and working with outsourcing providers
* Support client accounting and regulatory reporting inquiries
* Resolve investment compliance and performance related issues with our client's custodian banks
* Communicating fair value pricing recommendations as necessary
* Producing client-specific operational reporting

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a Bachelors degree with relevant experience gained either from the Investment Management industry or from a custodian background. The candidate should command a good knowledge of the investment operations business and global capital markets. Exposure to investment operations or financial services operations in a risk management environment would be preferred. Knowledge of European regulatory requirements and initiatives; UCITS, IFRS, FSA, Solvency II, Local GAAP is preferred. Advanced degrees and/or progress towards the CFA designation are viewed favorably.

The Analyst must be able to work quickly and accurately under pressure, possess a high degree of analytical ability and sound business judgment, be able to perform long-range tasks while experiencing short-term interruptions, and have the ability to plan and prioritize responsibilities. The candidate must be able to react to and resolve unfamiliar issues, (be able to resolve complex operational issues), possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and have the ability to provide excellent client service. The Analyst will be required to work independently as well as contribute to a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
