The Market Operations division provides independent specialist verification, confirmation and settlement facilities for a variety of products and currencies for many of Macquarie's businesses globally. The division provides a key segregated control function for wholesale businesses built on strong operational risk management and a control culture that is consistent and resilient.

The Onboarding Division of MOT seeks to appoint a Client Onboarding Contractor to work in Houston supporting our Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities group for a period three months to start. This position is a contract to hire role for the right candidate.
In this role you will:
- Verify registration and regulation of entities using regulatory bodies such as the FINRA, NFA, and SEC to determine requirements for each account opening
- Manage various internal and external relationships with clients and sales and liaise with Front and Middle Offices to facilitate account openings.
- Represent as the primary face for Macquarie with new client onboarding
- Support the Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities (FICC) group primarily in the energy markets space
- Ensure due diligence is performed on every new account opened in order to comply with Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations facilitating the on-boarding process for the business
- Develop expertise in the firm's Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) due diligence policies to prevent any unlawful activity. Ensure suspicious activity is escalated to AML
To be successful you will:
- Preferably have 1-2 years previous experience in a client onboarding capacity. Willing to consider entry level candidates as well
- Be fluent in Spanish with a preference for candidates who are also fluent in Portuguese
- Be able to multitask and manage different expectations and projects
- Be a self starter, driven, and assertive
- Be detail oriented and be able to handle confidential information diplomatically
