Client Relationship Manager – UK Institutional clients recruitment
The responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Take responsibility for the ownership, servicing and development of UK institutional client accounts, mainly Pension Funds, to ensure the consistent delivery of a high quality and seamless service offering across the business’ product set
- Proactively widen and deepen those client relationships where opportunities may arise to enhance revenue
- Contribute positively to the broader EMEA business results
- Have input to Core Business strategy/planning
- Be the named Relationship Manager for approximately 35-40 clients
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance revenue and protect revenue when performance is weak
- Ultimate escalation/resolution point for outstanding issues
- Work with Global Client Relations to deepen relationship with field consultants
- Mentoring and training of internal client services employees
- Working with Trustees and their consultants to create and develop solutions for Pension Fund clients utilising product and investment knowledge
- Preparing presentation materials for account reviews and new business pitches
- Taking responsibility for client and consultant queries, delegating to appropriate internal teams, monitoring progress to resolution and ensuring that responses are timely and of a high quality
- Gathering information from clients and consultants to provide feedback to help support sales planning
- Aiding query resolution and assisting with the design and delivery of external communication/reporting
- Representing and promoting the business at client conferences, industry forums and client entertainment events as appropriate.
Necessary skills and attributes:
- IMC qualification essential; CFA preferred
- Relevant experience within a similar role
- Strong understanding of the UK Pension Fund market, investment industry and competitive landscape
- Strong technical, product and market knowledge
- Able to attend external meetings as the sole representative and explain all products and market conditions to clients
- Able to proactively position appropriate products with clients
- Able to contribute to product design and evolution to deliver scalable solutions to clients
- Track record of strong results-orientation and process skills
- Excellent team player
- Excellent organisational and project management skills with a proven ability to prioritise effectively
- A self-starter who can quickly analyse client needs and focus on delivery
- Ability to network and develop relationships with pension managers, consultants, administrators and other third party stakeholders, and to communicate and interact effectively with personnel at all levels within the business
