Business Unit Overview:

With global operations spanning a diverse range of investment products and services, the Business Operations group is responsible for ensuring scalable and efficient operational support across investment products, client channels, and regions. Within Business Operations, Client Operations – which includes Client Reporting - is responsible for service delivery to BlackRock clients.

The Client Reporting Analyst (CRA) is the provider of account and fund information to all clients, custodian banks, trustee banks, and consultants. Reporting information includes client holdings, transaction activity, unit values and settlement, fund fact sheets, performance and attribution data as well as various strategy/market commentaries for investment reviews. Report distribution is via blackrock.com, e-mail, FTP and other means. CR also responds to ad-hoc information/data requests and associated queries.

The CRA works with various internal stakeholders and groups to provide reporting solutions to meet the needs of our external clients. CRA’s provide front-line client service, focusing on accurate and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• The CRA works with various internal clients and groups to provide reporting solutions to meet the needs of our external clients.

• Responsible for fielding day-to-day client requests along with inquiries from internal BLK groups, problem solving or directing inquiries where appropriate, while providing high quality client service externally and internally.

• Daily accounting and cash reconciliation duties for pooled portfolios - providing fund manager support within a risk controlled environment.

• Support and complete various projects, including automation/standardization efforts, client research, and representing CR in firm-wide projects and client meetings.

• Constantly evaluate systems, processes and procedures for inefficiencies, and make recommendations for improvement.

• Understand flow of client and fund information and data between BLK and its vendors.

• Oversee the set-up and maintenance of reporting to clients, trustees, custodians, and record keepers.

• Set-up and maintain reporting for clients, trustees, custodians, and record keepers.

• Responsible for timely distribution of standard reports and accuracy of custom reports.

• Understand flow of client and fund information and data between BlackRock and its vendors.

• Facilitate report creation through analyzing and researching client and fund data and related information.

• Responsible for fielding day-to-day client requests along with inquiries from internal BlackRock groups, problem solving or directing inquiries where appropriate, while providing high quality client service externally and internally.

• Participate in cross training efforts on all CR functions.

• Support and complete various projects, including automation/standardization efforts, client research, and representing CR in firm-wide projects and client meetings.

• Constantly evaluate systems, processes and procedures for inefficiencies, and make recommendations for improvement.

Knowledge/Experience:

• Specific product knowledge and awareness of the complex structure of portfolios and meeting the demands of strategic clients.

• Intimate knowledge of the onboard/offboard process from client pitch to initial client set up and final disinvestment.

• Subject matter expert with regards to pricing and sources.

• Knowledge of CSA agreements and Collateral valuation .

• Able to meet deadlines, functioning effectively and prioritising multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment.

• An investment professional with a strong understanding of investment management and operations and your role within BlackRock's business.

• Some relevant experience with a respected financial institution

Skills/Qualifications:

?     Highly proficient on industry standard software (e.g. Microsoft Office)

?     BS/BA in business, finance, accounting, economics, or related field. MBA or CFA welcome.
