CLIENT REPORTING ASSOCIATE recruitment
Description:
Our client is currently looking for an experienced Client Reporting Associate to join their Edinburgh based team. The successful individual will provide assistance to the Client Reporting team in the production of all aspects of client reporting. This will involve, but not limited to, the production, verification and distribution of institutional and retail client reporting and ad hoc client reporting tasks
Core Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders involved in the production of institutional and retail client reporting.
- Maintain the client and workflow database and become familiar with the characteristics and requirements of each client.
- Assist with the preparation, production and delivery of all client automated and manual reports.
- Continue to build on the existing good relations with the Relationship Managers/Sales Team
- Develop good working relationship with your allocated client base contributing to client satisfaction.
- Respond to communications (verbal, email and postal) to and from clients.
- Assist with responding to auditors queries.
- Preparation, production and delivery of all regular/irregular client requests for information i.e. client valuations, transaction reports, factsheets etc.
- Undertake project support as Subject Matter Expert for the Business Transformation/Client Reporting Project, to involve, where practical:
- Assisting in the analysis of business processes/procedures/systems.
- Assisting in the co-ordination of resources and project-product delivery.
- Assisting in the vendor/product selection.

Core Requirements:
- Have attained, if applicable, industry core professional qualification for that of a practicing investment professional e.g. Investment Management Certificate (IMC), Investment Operations Certificate (IOC – Merit Award, previously known as IAQ)
- Must be able to and continue to be able to demonstrate continuing competence in accordance with the FSA’s Training Competence regime
- Must be able to work in the UK, e.g. fall within the European Economic Union, hold the necessary work permits or have the right of abode, evidence of which must be supplied
- Educated to ‘Higher’ level standard or may be holder of a tertiary qualification.
- Working knowledge and experience preferably in a funds management or financial services industry.
- Strong administrative background.
- Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office applications, e.g. Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and advanced Excel experience as a pre-requisite. Some experience of Access would be advantageous.
- A working knowledge of VBA would be a distinct advantage
- Good knowledge of database systems and aptitude to learn new systems.
- Highly numerate – excellent analytical and numerical skills.
