Client Reporting Manager recruitment
The firm, based in Los Angeles, began operations in June 2001 and manages approximately $14 billion (as of 04/30/2012) in international, global and emerging market equities. Causeway manages fundamental and quantitative strategies emphasizing a value style. The firm’s main investment strategies are (i) international and global value equity (including American Depositary Receipt (“ADR”), large capitalization, socially responsible substrategies), (ii) emerging markets equity, (iii) international and global opportunities equity (combining developed plus emerging), and (iv) global absolute return (long/short).
Position Overview: Direct and execute client reporting, portfolio and benchmark analytics, and consultant inquiry processes within an institutional client service group. Support the client service team as needed. Critical responsibilities are listed below:
• Manage monthly/quarterly production of client reports and review material, including portfolio performance and attribution reports
• Prepare and analyze data provided externally to clients, consultants, and advisors, as well as internally to various groups within the firm
• Develop reporting capabilities for an expanding suite of investment strategies; improve processes and data flow for client and firm needs; collaborate with Operations, Systems, Compliance, Marketing and Portfolio Management teams
• Build sufficient knowledge of Causeway’s investment processes to effectively respond to client requests, including communicating firm updates, client performance and account attribution
• Gain proficiency in the software capabilities that assist in providing client and strategy information
• Provide timely data uploads for clients and consultants
• Facilitate client account administration, including cash flows, client take-on, and contact management
Skills and Qualifications:
• An undergraduate degree and at least three years of experience in investment management support (client service, operations, sales, trading or portfolio administration) or financial auditing
• Strong computer skills - including proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and business reporting and intelligence software (e.g. Factset, Eagle, Bloomberg, SQL, Pages)
• Highly organized: attention to detail and accuracy, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
• Deadline-sensitive: succeed in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated competency in juggling multiple tasks and demands
• Self-starter, problem solver, possessing a positive “can do” attitude
• Client-oriented and results-focused
