Client Service Associate- Fixed Income
Provide superior client service helping to retain existing clients through quality reporting, education and servicing.
Furthermore, the Client Service Support Team generates and maintains product and account information in order to serve Brandywine’s general needs. Associates perform any and all duties related to the aforementioned areas of responsibility. In addition, the associate’s responsibilities will be generally supporting the International Institutional Client Service team.
Essential Job Functions:
Client Service Support:
- Client Establishment/Maintenance: Maintaining accuracy of client and account information in contact management database (SATUIT), and ensuring proper communication of account information. Facilitating new account establishment and contracting processes working in conjunction with ADM (responsible for new account setup) and our Compliance departments.
- Client Support: Client requests are wide in scope and vary in time to complete. They consist of custom attribution requests, explanation of an inter period update of our strategy or reporting item, or shedding light on some broad fixed income issue that a client or consultant needs to understand.
- Presentation Materials Production: Producing and maintaining presentations, graphs, slides for use in meetings and conferences with clients.
- Quarterly/Monthly Reporting:
- Analyzing product performance and preparing attribution summaries
- Preparing standard and custom reports per client request
- Custom client requests – handle client templates that include risk data, volume data for sub-advised Legg Mason accounts, and updating manager reporting websites
- Verifying accuracy of portfolio specific data
- Overseeing the production and distribution of materials and reports
- Customizing and assist in editing both monthly and quarterly commentaries letters to clients
- Administering the firm’s client-information databases: troubleshooting, verifying account and product-data, implementing improvements, etc.
- Fielding phone calls and making follow-up calls in response to client inquiries.
Marketing Support:
- Maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of product-specific statistical data, e.g., asset information, client turnover, portfolio characteristics, performance, etc. Preparing and distributing reports
- Maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of product-specific qualitative information
- Product Analysis: utilizing systems such as Zephyr, Axiom, eAnalytics and software to compare and contrast Brandywine products with top global bond managers in the world.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Special projects, primarily relating to specialist product area
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
The individual must be a highly detail-oriented, motivated individual who is able to work in a busy environment and is committed to quality in all job-related activities. The position requires:
- Cultural sensitivity and basic knowledge and understanding of international mannerisms.
- Flexible to having conference calls outside the normal working hours. The timing of meetings may consist of late in the evening or very early morning calls.

Knowledge
- Fundamental understanding of equity and fixed-income securities, investing and portfolio management required.
- Familiarity with asset management industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of International Business a plus.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related area required with familiarity in the investment industry and strong understanding of investment management services preferred.
- At least three years prior related experience required
- MBA and/or CFA preferred
