Description

Lead a team of mostly US-based professionals with client servicing responsibilities, as well as the office manager for the New York office. You will report directly to Newton's global head of business strategy, based in London and work in close collaboration with the US based head of North American business development and consultant relations. You will be expected to lead on all strategic and existing client-related initiatives in North America and provide guidance to other team members with respect to their assigned client relationships. You would be expected to sit on several key committees, including most notably the NCM Risk and Compliance Committee and the NCM Advisory Board.

The key responsibilities of this role are to:

* Manage a team of mostly US-based professionals with existing client responsibilities
* Build strong relationships with business and operations stakeholders in London
* Have and maintain broad knowledge of markets, global investment strategies and the ability to clearly articulate performance variances.
* Retain and strengthen existing North American client relationships
* Work closely with the UK client service team to develop relationships with North American parents of existing UK pension fund client schemes
* Develop additional or new business opportunities from existing clients, as appropriate to help satisfy the clients' overall investment objectives.

Additional responsibilities include:

* Creating and maintaining existing client records as necessary for the on-going management of these relationships and to comply with US and UK regulatory requirements.
* Working with and supporting the parent company's (BNY Mellon) shared selling groups as appropriate when it comes to common existing or new client servicing and relationship issues
* Reviewing client presentation materials with the intent to improve message delivery.
* Handling general queries and requests from clients, consultants and internal groups.

The role requires working closely with colleagues in the US and UK across a range of areas. This includes client service executives, investment managers, operations personnel, and members of the following groups (performance and risk measurement, compliance/legal, client reporting and marketing).

Qualifications

Position requires 10+ of extensive experience in institutional sales and marketing and/or client relationship management with at least 5 of those years in managing a sales force for an investment firm; excellent understanding of the investment business and products and services; strong and visible communication skills; strong analytical and financial analysis skills; excellent negotiation abilities and demonstrated experience in leading teams.

Bachelor's Degree required, post graduate degree preferred and/or CFA.
