Client Service Officer
Our client is a world leading asset management firm with offices around the globe and services largely the most sophisticated institutional clients ranging form insurance, public and union organisations etc.
Due to growth, we are seeking for an experienced and hands on Client Service Officer with at least 4-7 years of experience handling institutional clients on their fixed income needs to join the Singapore team.
Role supports the overall relationship management effort, answer ad hoc client inquiries, prepare client presentations, coordinate account opening, closing and maintenance processes, prepare Requests-for-Proposals, research information on prospective clients, support general business development efforts and be an overall centralized point of contact for a specific book of institutional clients.
Responsibilities/Duties :
- Act as a central point of contact for a specified book of clients and resolve inquiries from our clients' investment, management, compliance, audit, legal and operations teams.
- Coordinate account opening, maintenance and closing processes, which may involve working with both internal departments and external parties (i.e., client, custodian, brokers, lawyers, etc).
- Prepare and/or review meeting presentation books. This may involve working with Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers to download and analyze data before putting them into graphical presentations for client meetings. This will require someone who is familiar with fixed income concepts and a working knowledge of Bloomberg, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Prepare briefing memos ("background packages") for client and business development meetings.
- Attend select client meetings.
- Prepare and/or review requests-for-proposal submissions.
- Review all standard and/or customized client reports and ensure they are sent according to the daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting deadlines.
- Maintain client contacts, sales opportunities and relationship notes in the client relationship database.
- Work on ad-hoc client projects.

- Ability to complete simultaneous tasks while under significant time pressure
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2007, particularly Excel and Powerpoint
- Proficiency with Bloomberg
- Mandarin will be highly advantageous given that there are numerous Chinese clients and Foreign language skills, in particular Cantonese or Korean, a plus
- At least 4-7 years experience in asset management industry as a Client Service Professional handling fixed income is critical
- We welcome candidates who has multi asset class knowledge to apply too aolthough they must exhibit Fixed income experience and understanding of basic investment concepts
Academic Qualifications (Minimum Requirement) :
- Good undergraduate degree; Business, Finance or Economics majors preferred
- Progression towards CFA or MBA would be an advantage
