Client Service Officer – Officer / AVP (Based in Johannesburg) recruitment

The candidate maintains and enhances relationships with existing top tier Treasury Services clients and promotes 100% client satisfaction by interacting with the client on current service, operating issues and opportunities. The incumbent defends existing revenue whilst identifying new efficiencies and cross sell opportunities through frequent client meetings and discussions covering new products, market developments etc.

Responsibilities

Ø  Act as prime contact for client portfolio in Sub-Saharan Africa region.

Ø  To ensure the prompt resolution of all customer queries relating to the Cash Management and Liquidity products.

Ø  Promote use of self service tools to reduce number of client enquiries.

Ø  To liaise with Relationship, Product and Operations partners regarding service issues.

Ø  To track query resolution and client communication via appropriate enquiry management tool and provide management with accurate statistical analysis.

Ø  Manage risk through close attention to client overdrafts and escalate those risk issues to appropriate parties as required.

Ø  Identification of and involvement in initiatives to improve the Client and /or internal experience.

Ø  To plan and carry out regular face-to-face meetings with clients.

Ø  Presentation of Client Service capabilities to existing and new clients.

Ø  Use of data mining to understand and analyse clients' payment activities, patterns of client enquiries and, opportunities for increasing clients' straight-through rates.

Ø  Understand the clients in the Sub-Saharan Africa portfolio and their market, developing, maintaining and broadening the partnerships.

Ø  Work to attain 'Trusted Advisor' status.

Ø  Identify opportunities for product development/enhancement.

Ø  Provide team support and cover as required.

Ø  Provide interface, alongside offshore implementation management team, with local clients facilitating seamless on boarding and product implementation processes.

 Knowledge and Skills required

Ø  Experience in cash management.

Ø  Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ø  Strong presentation skills.

Ø  Time management and organisation skills.

Ø  Experience in a client facing role.

Ø  Team player.

Ø  French and/or Portuguese speaking desirable.

Additional Requirements: 

Some travel will be required.
