Client Service Rep - Outreach for New York City needed ASAP!!!

This is a temporary position (estimated to last for approximately 3 months) with our NYC Outreach department. The candidate will be primarily stationed at a site in Brooklyn, but needs to be able to potentially work in any of the 5 boroughs and also able to provide site coverage to other sites within the 5 boroughs. Candidates must be bilingual in English and Spanish. Access to a vehicle is not required for these positions. Hourly Rate: $13.70/hour - Conducts face-to-face outreach and enrollment services, including education on managed care, to clients in presentations. - Assists the Outreach Senior Manager, Manager and Supervisors with selected duties. - Presents managed care options to clients and assist them in understanding their health care plans. - Assists clients in the enrollment/disenrollment process. - Maintains positive relationships with city staff, community groups, and clients. - Maintains updated knowledge of the New York Medicaid CHOICE Project. - Raises issues of concern and/or problems to the Outreach Senior Manager, or Outreach Supervisor. - Takes promotion packs and/or enrollment materials to sites for distribution and enrollment purposes. - Processes enrollment forms. - Reviews enrollment forms for accuracy and completeness. Working hours: 9 AM to 5 PM --Meets all standards established for this position as outlined in the attached performance criteria Performs other duties as may be assigned by management. --Knowledge of the community to be served; --experience making presentations to groups; ability to follow directions; ability to handle pressure; excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment; ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously; and ability to work as a team member, as well as independently. --Preferred qualifications include two years of human services experience; or experience dealing with the public; and fluency in commonly spoken languages.
