The Position:
The Firm is seeking a candidate to join the Client Service team in its Chicago office. Under the direction of the Director of Client Service, the candidate will assist with business development efforts and client service focused primarily on the Firm’s corporate high yield strategies. The candidate will work closely with the entire Marketing and Client Service team and will regularly interact with investment, finance and operations professionals as well as senior management.
Responsibilities will include:
- writing monthly and quarterly commentaries
- creating pitchbooks for current client and prospective investor meetings
- monthly and quarterly client reporting
- assistance with RFPs and questionnaires as needed
The candidate will attend all monthly high yield strategy meetings and all high yield credit review presentations to better understand the team’s market views and portfolio positioning.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate must possess the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree (degree in related field preferred)
- Expertise in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- A high level of motivation, with exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Basic knowledge of investment management coupled with a strong desire to learn the business
- Ability to work independently
- Client Service experience in the investment industry (preferred)
