Overview:
The Escrow team provides a full range of service to Escrow clients, providing documentation, administration and Operational support. In this role you will be working closely with Product and Sales to develop the markets Deutsche Bank is already in and to look at expanding into new markets.

The position is a client facing one and you will have a portfolio of escrow clients to manage in EMEA.

You will enjoy dealing with internal and external clients, have strong problem solving skills and be comfortable dealing with a variety of different situations. Many transactions are high profile and are structured by sometimes complex legal documents and experience of transaction documentation is essential. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with legal experience within the capital markets, Mergers and Acquisitions (MA), corporate trust and/or escrows to expand their skill set and manage and develop a portfolio of escrow transactions with international clients across various industry sectors.

This is a very important sector of the market for Deutsche bank and it is seen as the growth area for the future.

Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for drafting and reviewing draft documentation for new and existing transactions where Trust and Securities Services (TSS) is appointed as escrow agent, and negotiating the terms from Deutsche Bank's perspective with the transaction parties.
You will be responsible for supporting the EMEA expansion of the product, working closely with product and sales.
You will deal with a wide range of client, legal and operational queries.
You will be responsible for performing in a relationship management role with clients, internal and external, particularly with law firms and attending client calls and meetings. There will also be travel involved.
You will be responsible for coordinating the operational work associated with the funds flows on the transactions (including payments on relevant transactions).
You will be responsible for handling the administration of new and existing transactions (account reconciliation, deal management systems, maintenance of internal databases, meetings, operational queries, fee receivables, payments and nostro exceptions).

You will have:
Legal experience, preferably with escrow documentation.
Mergers and Acquisition (MA) background or a good understanding of the MA or escrow markets, and relationships in these areas would be an strong advantage.
An understanding of payments and operations.
A minimum of A level or equivalent qualifications. Graduate (or relevant international equivalent) preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and be able to demonstrate this.
Good time management and organizational capabilities - able to manage own time effectively, anticipating and meeting deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills and be client focused with the ability to assert yourself and be able to deal with people at all levels of the organisation.
Well-developed and accurate business writing skills and be numerate, with attention to detail.
The credibility and confidence to liaise effectively at senior levels.
Strong attention to detail.
