Client Services – Investment Management Operations recruitment

Position Description
As part of the Morgan Stanley Investment Management Operations Group, the Client Services Team plays an integral role in servicing clients and facilitating client events.  The team provides coverage for a global client base investing in London managed products across equity, fixed income and alternatives.  The teams works in partnership with the outsourced Investment Manager Solutions (IMS) team at State Street to ensure completion on all client deliverables.

Skills Required
• Working background in all aspects of Investment Management Operations
• Direct experience operating within client services or a similar client facing role
• Broad understanding of different products and investment instruments
• Technical knowledge of fixed income and derivative instruments, portfolio characteristics and a basic understanding of investment processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Organisational and project management skills
• Strong business sense and well developed judgement
• Thorough knowledge of custody and fund accounting environments and ancillary service providers
• Strong risk awareness
• Has proven ability to interact with multiple internal and external functions including clients, legal, compliance, fund managers, sales, and other functional operations teams.
• Comfortable dealing with senior individuals and management across these functions

Skills Desired
• European languages are an advantage
• Working knowledge of multiple jurisdictions and legal requirements, including but not limited to Italian pension funds, German KAG’s and Australian Superannuation Funds.
• Knowledge of Luxembourg SICAV’s and Dublin registered funds
