The Client Specialist is a client-facing role which supports clients who use Eikon, Reuters 3000Xtra, and any other product that can help increase the efficiency and effectiveness of institutional investors by adding unique insight and intelligence our commodities and energy clients. Through a combination of market knowledge, product knowledge and client-management skills, the Client Specialist partners with Sales teams to solve specific client needs and works directly with customers to enable their use of Thomson Reuters data. You will work in a fast-paced environment at the forefront of the latest developments in market data and technology and collaborate closely with Thomson Reuters Sales, Account Management, Content, Product Management, Development, and other business units to deliver unparalleled service to our clients.

Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Achieve quota by driving desktop sales and building Inter-Dealer Brokers community establishing Thomson Reuters as the premier desktop solution. This includes a variety of desktop products subscribed to by this client base - including but not limited to Eikon, 3000Xtra, Dealing, Bridge and the ThomsonOne suite.
• Use domain expertise to build relationships and communities with end-users by understanding and fulfilling their business needs.
• Own the sales opportunity from initial prospecting through to close and support the free trial process.
• Proactively work to develop and execute sales strategies for assigned account base.
• Target and drive large scale enterprise-wide renewals and new opportunities related to end-user workflow in customer base.
• Retention of revenue in accounts under competitive threat.
• Oversee client meetings to carry out product demonstrations and upsell services to existing clients.
• Lead sales campaigns to achieve increased product market penetration.
• Work closely with the Divisional teams to feed product ideas and provide client feedback

Skills

Education:

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years experience selling financial industry products preferred.
• Industry qualifications preferred (CFA, MBA, CMT, Series 7)

Required Skills:

• Strong background in Inter-Dealer Broker space - including a working knowledge of the FX, Fixed Income, Commodities Energy and Equity markets.
• Ability to work well in a highly matrixed environment - supporting and helping set strategy for a domestic business with guidance of an international team.
• Strong oral and written communications skills, along with strong negotiation skills.
• Strong, polished presentation skills
• Articulate, enthusiastic, self-motivated with ability to prioritize
• Flexibility to work in an informal/merit-oriented environment
• Excellent financial and quantitative conceptual ability
• Ability to multi-task and delegate when necessary
• Strong telephone sales and presentation skills with clients/prospects at all levels
• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years experience selling financial industry products.
