Climate Change & Quantitative Analyst

Job Description

• Maintain and enhance Climate Change Product.

• Follow developments on regulation and policy across climate themes.

• Contribute thought pieces for regular and quarterly climate research publications.

• Run daily climate valuation screens to identify investment opportunities.

• Apply quantitative analysis to determine relative value opportunities across Climate sectors, themes and regions.

• Apply quantitative techniques to identify dominant investment styles across the various climate themes and regions.

• Assist in maintaining the growing universe of climate related stocks.

• Undertake bespoke client requests which will include the development and testing of strategies for clients.

• Maintain existing and build new client relationships.

 

 

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Analyst with a background in Climate Change or ESG.

• You will be familiar with the analytical, scientific and policy aspects of one or more of the above.

• Possess a strong grasp of indices, index methodologies, their uses as well as the resulting implications for investors and clients’ investment decision making processes.

• Be able to demonstrate a proven record of engaging in open dialogue and mindshare with clients on climate and index research related matters.

Key Additional Skills

• Strong analytic and visual basic programming skills.

• Quantitative background and approach to problem solving and idea generation – ideally in the equity domain.

• Ability to explore, develop and test factor relationships and performance drivers using statistical methods.

• Strong research and written skills – ideally in the climate space.

• Experience and ability to successfully interact with clients including marketing.
