Provides leadership and direction to all entities and staff responsible for accreditation and compliance. * Provides leadership and strategic direction to the system's operating entities including all internal staff and outside consultants responsible for ensuring compliance with external accreditation, including but not limited to accreditation by The Joint Commission. * Responsible for ensuring that all Aurora entities continuously meet applicable clinical licensure, certification and accreditation requirements. * Works collaboratively with clinical, compliance, administrative and legal departments. * Provides leadership and support in preparing for and responding to unannounced accreditation and verification surveys conducted by The Joint Commission, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and other accrediting or certifying bodies. * Implements programs of continuous improvement to improve performance and to ensure continual readiness to meet and exceed full compliance with federal, state and local regulatory bodies and other external agencies such as The Joint Commission. * Designs and implements educational programs that will enhance knowledge and ensure the performance needed to exceed clinical accreditation and regulation standards. * Develops a sustainable systematic infrastructure to assess, measure, and execute necessary change to close any gaps in order to meet and/or exceed standards for clinical accreditation. * Develops a standard approach to accreditation that ensures all departments and entities of the organization work together to achieve a highly reliable system and ensure top performance on all measures by sharing resources and knowledge which includes sharing best practices throughout the system. * Develops a system for early warning of underperforming processes and systems related to accreditation readiness. Implements processes and/or action plans that result in a quick turnaround of poor performance. * Provides information and direction to leaders to ensure their knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards and action plans necessary to achieve top performance. * Serves as an expert resource regarding accreditation standards, their interpretation and intent. * Develops an effective mentoring and development process to improve accreditation skills and capacity. * Establishes strong relationships with accreditation and regulatory agencies. General Qualifications Knowledge of nursing or health care administration, equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regionally accredited bachelor's degree program. Demonstates knowledge as an expert resource in accreditation readiness, skills in quality, patient safety and performance improvement appilcable to aacceditation and regulatory content. Excellent commonication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills. Knowledge of computer applications. Desired Qualifications Knowledge of nursing or health care administration, equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regionally accredited bachelor's degree program.
