Clinical Administrative Coordinator

Position Description:
OptumHealth is seeking to hire a non-clinical administrative coordinator/pre-engagement specialist to support Provider Solutions. This position will interact with clinical team members, patients, providers and other stakeholders. The strength of the non-clinical administrative coordinator lies in his/her ability to both motivate and engage beneficiaries to enroll in care management services/programs. The non-clinical coordinator will manage internal and external vendor and stakeholder relationships through the provision of exceptional spoken and written forms of customer service.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Engages with identified beneficiaries to drive service/program awareness and facilitate enrollment into our clinical services and programs
- Accurately documents beneficiary interaction and appropriately follows all processes and procedures related to beneficiary engagement
- Accurately manages multiple technology systems simultaneously
- Builds rapport and establishes trusted relationships with beneficiaries, client and key vendor partners
- Interacts on a regular basis with the client support structure
- Provides excellent customer service to both providers and beneficiaries
- Constantly meets established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining good attendance
- Respond to incoming provider and beneficiary calls
- Retrieves relevant beneficiary information and notification of IP/SNF admission/discharge from multiple sources; such as physician practice and facility EMRs
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in a professional office setting using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties
- 2+ years of experience in a clerical, administrative support role, or related work experience
- 1+ year of experience providing customer service
- 1+ year of experience working with spreadsheets, word documents, and email
Assets:
- Working knowledge of Medicare
- Working knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Healthcare or insurance benefits experience
- Experience working in a hospital, physician's office, or medical clinical setting
- Experience with applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and other Clinical databases
