Current Need Clinical Content Analyst Claims Performance Position Description The Clinical Content Specialist develops, maintains and supports rules and content, for McKesson¿s Claims Performance Product Line in a fast paced environment with contractually driven quarterly deliverable. The Claims Performance products are utilized by payor organizations to augment their claims management systems to optimize accurate processing of both professional and facility claims. This role is responsible for the end to end process of rule and content development for claims management to internal and external customers. The content specialist is also responsible for quality assurance of the rules and content and for responding to internal and external customer inquiries in support of default content. Minimum Requirements RN, RHIA or Relevant Healthcare experience with inpatient/outpatient billing/ claims systems. Healthcare Systems Information technology background strongly preferred. Third party claims processing, Medicare billing, and/or physician group practice experience desirable. Working knowledge of procedure and diagnosis coding systems and experience with business/data analysis preferred. Additional Knowledge Skills HealthCare Information Technology Experience Ability to communicate technical requirements using Boolean logic statements. Ability to use SQL statements and Access a plus Problem solving skills; ability to step through logical pathways to confirm expected results. Strong analytical skills Basic understanding of software development phases/life cycles a plus. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated proficiency with various software applications, including but not limited to: MS Word; MS Excel; MS Access; Visio. Research capabilities, writing experience, and knowledge of clinical/facility coding schemes. Results oriented; effective as both a team member and independent worker with attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Knowledge of claims management billing systems is preferred. Aptitude for working with McKesson developed applications in support of work objectives. Education Bachelors Degree in computer science, healthcare related field, or relevant Healthcare experience with payor claims systems and or physician/facility revenue cycle systems.
