We currently have an outstanding contract opportunity for a Clinical Data Analyst for our client in La Jolla, CA. The Clinical Data Analyst (CDA) will be responsible for integrating pharmacokinetic (PK) data within information in the clinical database to ensure high quality clinical pharmacology data that enables appropriate analyses for successful regulatory submissions of oncology compounds. The CDA may conduct some preliminary programming work to generate PK datasets combined with clinical data, and some preliminary PK data analysis. He/she may also review and modify submission-ready clinical pharmacology documents by demonstrating high attention to detail, in order to guarantee quality of the final document. SKILLS In order to be successful within this role, qualified candidates should have advanced knowledge (1 to 3 years) of Oracle Clinical, SAS, S-Plus, Winnonlin, and Clinical Documentation. Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with people and teams are essential. He/she must have the ability to work independently and think through results, resolve data discrepancies, analyze/interpret clinical data, and focus on the key messages. The candidate must also be able to actively participate in cross functional and clinical teams by explaining/promoting the clinical pharmacology strategy and data analyses as well as providing deliverables according to timelines. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Qualified candidates should have a BS/MS degree with 3+ years of experience in clinical trials. Must have a good understanding of principles of clinical pharmacology/pharmacokinetics as well as clinical trial operations. Qualified candidates must also posses QC/QA skills, database skills and knowledge of pharmacokinetics. Experience with study and data management issues related to oncology studies is desired as is advanced knowledge of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics and experience with the use of R or Spotfire. An in-depth understanding in oncology statistics and hands-on experience with programming such as R/S Plus, SAS, Winnonlin, and OC-RDC would be a plus.
