We are seeking a Registered Dietitian with 0-2 years experience for this progressive 4 campus, 425 bed teaching hospital systems located in Little Rock, AR. The candidate will work in inpatient acute care medical-surgical and cardiac care units as part of a dynamic 9 clinical nutrition team and will work with progressive patient systems. Candidate will manage the nutrition care process and work closely with the medical team. Ideal candidate will have recent acute care experience. Responsibilities will also include participation in Performance Improvement projects, and providing training and nutrition education in a variety of settings. Familiarity with the nutrition care process for charting a plus. Candidates will need to have excellent communication and customer service skills, have a track record of proactive interaction with the medical team, be an outstanding team player, and have strong demonstrated leadership skills. The Ideal candidate will work Thurs/Friday week 1 and Wed/Thur/Fri week 2. Selected candidate will be based at main campus (St. Vincent) but will need to be cross-trained at the other locations and be able to provide coverage as needed at all four sites (Doctor's Hospital, North and Rehabilitation). Candidates who are recent graduates and who meet eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian certification and AR licensure will be considered. Plans special diets and supervises their preparation. Instructs patients/residents and/or hospital personnel in basic principles of nutrition and modifications of normal diet. Performs routine care responsibilities without training and direction. Qualifications Requirements: Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree Basic Functional Experience - No previous work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics required + Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian.
