BSN, other clinical degree, or Bachelors Computer Science. Either 5 years experience as a clinician with 2-3 years information systems project experience; OR 5 years experience in health care IT with 2-3 years with EMRs in ambulatory care setting. Demonstrated project leadership experience; training delivery experience; physician relations experience; excellent analytical, technical, and problem solving abilities; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and customer service orientation. Current Illinois RN license for nursing applicant.
****Extensive travel among Advocate Medical Group sites is required****
-Ability to work in a changing environment

-During the EMR rollout, required to work some evenings and weekends to support site conversions to EMR
Job Description:
This position is responsible for supporting a successful electronic medical record (EMR) implementation throughout the consolidated Advocate Medical Group organization (AMG) and for making improvements in the use of the EMR and process flows surrounding the EMR. This position is part of AMG Operations, in the Clinical Informatics team, and works in close partnership with operations leaders, medical leaders, and the Information Systems Touchworks EMR team to coordinate successful implementaton, system optimization, and improvements to the use of AMG's EMR.
Accountabilities:
1. Contributes to successful oversight of AMG's EMR project from an operations perspective.
2. Develops, and delivers EMR training and coaching post implementation (ie, following the IS training) to maximize effective use of the EMR by physicians and associates
3. Develops and monitors standard procedures and process flows related to use of the EMR at AMG
4. Follows-through on issues and improvements in the EMR system, interfaces between EMR and other systems, and related process flows. *hj
