A Clinical Laboratory Scientist at Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa is responsible for routine testing completed in assigned sections of the Clinical Laboratory (i.e., Chemistry, Microbiology, Hematology, Coagulation, or Urinalysis).  A CLS must be capable of basic instrumentation troubleshooting, resolving basic testing problems, calibration of instruments, and running/analyzing the appropriate controls to assure accurate test results.  In addition, a CLS must be able to perform this position under pressure and may be required to work during any shift depending on the department's needs and their training.

B.S. or B.A. in a biological science.  Successful completion of a one year internship in a Clinical Laboratory Scientist program.  Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license required.  Experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in an acute care hospital setting preferred, but not required.
