As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in a premier academic, research facility you will lead educational and staff development through evidence-based practices for an energetic Magnet Award winning nursing staff as well as facilitate and support quality projects at the program level.
The Neurosciene intensive Care Unit is a 25 bed unit that provides comprehensive care to the acutely ill neurosurgical/neurology patient, serving the adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. Intensive care is provided to patients with an acute, critical neurosurgical /neurological problem, including but not limited to all post-operative craniotomy patients, neurologically unstable patients, immediate post-cerebral vascular embolization, aneurysm coiling or balloon occlusion, patients with acute onset of seizure activity, requiring emergent interventions, and any neurosurgical/neurological patient who experiences an exacerbation of a previous medical condition requiring critical interventions.
RN license and APN license as a Clinical Nurse Specialist with Neuroscience ICU experience and staff development experience required.
