Clinical Sourcing Specialist
The position is responsible for strategically sourcing Clinical and Pre-Clinical Operations category. The individual hired will lead cross functional teams in the vendor selection process and guide the various functions to enhance vendor management throughout the organization. The individual will also support the Clinical and Pre-Clinical Operations in developing and executing the company's outsourcing strategy. This position is in Marlborough, Massachusetts. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Sourcing: Lead cross functional and functional teams in collecting and defining requirements to communicate to vendors in a competitive bid process Identify and lead the evaluation of vendors for inclusion in a competitive bid process Construct Request for Proposals (RFP) to communicate requirements to vendors Lead the vendor selection team in evaluating RFP responses, bid defense meetings and final vendor selection Utilize benchmark pricing tools (CRO Contractor) to support negotiations and lead commercial negotiations with vendors Finalize contracts with selected vendors and track cost savings and avoidance Develop an annual category business plan to assess category, set goals and objectives, analyze spend, and review plan with key stakeholders for alignment Vendor Management: Assist in the development of best practices in vendor management for Clinical and Pre-Clinical Operations Ensure selected vendors are on the company's Approved Vendor List (AVL) Identify metrics and helping to implement with study and functional oversight teams Develop a process for collecting and reporting performance to the Vendor Advisory Board Present to the Vendor Advisory Board on sourcing and vendor management issues, opportunities and performance Work with the study teams to bring resolution to vendor management issues Work with the Quality and Procurement organizations to evaluate and change a supplier's AVL status
