Clinical Statistical Analyst

We currently have an outstanding contract opportunity for a Clinical Statistical Analyst for our client in Indianapolis, IN. As a Clinical Statistical Analyst, you will be working on the Clinical Trial Optimization Team within the Advanced Analytics group, which develops custom software and tools to facilitate the rapid simulation of clinical trials. In this role, you will be supporting the development of future releases of clinical trials simulation and companion tools. This includes collaborating on, developing, and executing test cases designed to verify software GUI, that the engine delivers accurate and expected results, as well as developing or testing companion tools. This simulation tool enables the rapid exploration of a wide variety of trial designs, analysis options, and decision making criteria under realistic scenarios of expected drug performance and trial conduct. Trial options include fixed and adaptive designs. Activities within this role will include: Understanding specifications of existing engines simulation and execution engines as well as requirements for updated engines and interaction between GUI and engine Examination of parameter values to ensure they will appropriately allow new functionality to be tested as well as graphical output and output files .csvs Entry and tracking of known and discovered issues Communicating of said issues to team and partnering vendors Modifying or creating additional internal support documentation based on the knowledge learned from testing Generating code designed to analyze or visualize output Validating custom simulation code SKILLS In order to be successful within this role, qualified candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills. You must be detail oriented with the ability to accurately and articulately document test findings. Candidates must have sold critical quantitative thinking skills as well as knowledge of survival analysis. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Qualified candidates must have at least a Masters degree in Statistics with 3 to 5 years of experience in Statistical Programming and analyzing statistics in a clinical research environment. This includes experience and/or training in Bayesian probability, adaptive design, simulation as well as R and WinBUGS or one of the BUGS packages.
