Clinical Support Secretary

Major duties bull; Schedules Operating Room and Endoscopy procedures in the surgical scheduling system in a timely and accurate manner by utilizing information provided by the surgical specialties bull; Appropriately utilizes block schedules, procedure types, physician privileges and other relevant information when scheduling cases bull; Communicates schedule changes, special needs and conflicts to surgeons, anesthesia, OR staff and other hospital personnel as needed bull; Performs a variety of data entry tasks including entering patient pertinent information into the scheduling system and medical record as needed, entering staff schedules and any special needs for procedures bull; Initiates the billing process by entering pertinent charges and patient information in the Hospital's charging system bull; Performs time keeping tasks for staff payroll processing bull; Performs clerical support functions including but not limited to scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes, typing/compiling memos and policies, visitor management, answering telephones, routing callers, taking messages, filing records and necessary paperwork, copying, faxing, mailing etc., bull; Orders office supplies, arranges maintenance of office equipment, maintains departmental policies and procedures, manages the scrub system bull; Performs other administrative duties as assigned Skills required: bull; Excellent Customer Service skills ndash; ability to interact with a variety of customers while delivering a high level of customer service bull; Interpersonal skills - ability to use initiative, discretion and tact while working with diverse individuals in a poised and professional manner. bull; Communication skills ndash; Demonstrate high level of professionalism and communicate effectively in both written and verbal communication bull; Organizational skills - ability to independently organize tasks in a position that requires attention to detail and to work quickly and effectively in a busy work environment with frequent interruptions. bull; Time management skills - ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision. bull; High-level computer skills ndash; applicant must be proficient in MS Office particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook HOURS: 9:30am-5:30pm PAY: $13 per hour Additional Info Language(s) English (United States) Minimum Age 18+ years old Job Industries Healthcare
