Clinic/Outpatient Coding Specialist

High school diploma or GED is required

 

Summary:  Assign ICD-9-CM,CPT-4, and E M and HCPCS codes when appropriate to ambulatory clinic and outpatient records for reimbursement and data requirements according to applicable laws, rules and regulations, and AHA Coding Guidelines.


Requirements: High school or GED required with further formal certification in coding principles required.  Coding certification.  One of the following is required:  CCS, CCS-P, CPC, or CPC-H.
