Summary of Department Focus:

CCG is responsible for driving Cloud-related revenue within Cognizant. Cognizant has multiple delivery organizations, and complex Cloud-related opportunities can involve multiple organizations from strategy (CBC) to IT IS and the related vertical. You will work with the account team to build and deliver a sales strategy to bring together the various organizations within Cognizant to deliver on the clients objectives. In most cases, you will work with the client to develop the objectives and shape the opportunity.

Summary of Job Purpose: The Convergent Cloud Group is looking for a strong pre-sales professional with an outstanding Solution or Enterprise Architect background and Cloud experience to support the business in the UK as well as across Europe and globally. The ideal candidate will understand the bigger picture in terms of enterprise architecture solutions and possess excellent sales experience and understanding, paired with exceptional communication skills. Cloud experience is an absolute must as well as the ability to be flexible to meet travel requirements at a very short notice. Travel will be particularly intense in the first few months of work. An entrepreneurial as well as flexible can do approach will be essential. Key Responsibilities:
• Pre Sale activities across UK and Europe • Business Development in the Pan-European region • Work with the account team to build and deliver a sales strategy to bring together the various organizations within Cognizant to deliver on the clients objectives. • Work with the client to develop the objectives and shape the business opportunity • Responsibility for European travel at a very short notice

Key Competencies: • Sales and business development across Europe• Senior enterprise architect type skills, but with a significant focus cloud and on cloud sales experience• Excellent communication• Flexibility to travel

Knowledge:
• A target-driven sales professional• Understanding of Enterprise Architecture solution• Understanding of the sales life cycle
Experience: • Experience in closing highly complex deals involving key alliances, across multiple horizontals (lines of business)• Experience in closing large ( $10m) deals• Must have extensive experience in enterprise IT environment• Should have recent experience in selling IT services• Experience in cross-team selling various service lines• Experience with salesforce.com• Cloud experience

Qualifications: Computer Science degree or related disciplines
