Summary:
Profitable, well-funded web technology firm that is top in their industry vertical and expanding to other verticals needs a Systems Architect to primarily take 100% ownership of designing, architecting, implementing and maintaining a Cloud-based solution. The right expert will lead the company's multiple web solutions to the next level of success and profitability. Secondarily within the team, the qualified candidate may be involved with internal infrastructure and systems support which includes PC and Macintosh desktop and server environment, network/VPN connectivity, security, VoIP, and more. Current technology environment includes Amazon EC, Ubuntu/Linux, OSX, Windows, LAMP, Java, JEE, etc.
Requirements:
- At least 2 successful full-cycle (architecture, design, installation, configuration, etc.) implementations of Cloud solutions
- At least 5 to 10 years hands-on Linux systems/network engineering and support
- Solid experience with network connectivity, VPN and related security initiatives
- Experience with Ubuntu/Fedora, PostgreSQL, MySQL, JBoss, Apache ideal
- Amazon EC2 experience a huge plus but experience in Maven, Hudson, or other cloud solutions will definitely be considered
- Release engineering experience is a significant plus, especially with Subversion or Git
- OpenX administration also a plus
