The Role

Bloomberg, a recognized leader and industry standard in the Structured Products markets is looking for a motivated and passionate candidate to join our New York Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities group as a CMBS deal modeler and data analyst.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for reverse engineering and updating CMBS securitizations. The candidate will also interact with industry players, including issuers, trustees and servicers, as well as our product development team to deliver a comprehensive, accurate, and industry leading CMBS solution on the Bloomberg terminal.

Responsibilities:

- Actively work with CMBS issuers, investors, trustees and servicers to support complex structured deal models.
- Manage Bloomberg¿s global CMBS deal library by monitoring the issuance market, verifying timely updates of deal models, and supporting peripheral products that leveraging our CMBS offering.
- Perform daily checks to data quality by analyzing data trends and utilizing management reports.
- Employ proprietary tools to update CMBS deals.
- Audit QC reports and provide regular reporting to management.

Qualifications:

- 3+yrs experience in Fixed Income quantitative analytics, mortgage modeling/models, risk management, CMBS analysis, and/or bond modeling.
- Familiarity with the CREFC IRP.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong background in the management and operation of complex financial models, particularly bond structure/waterfall models.
- Proficiency with Excel is required, VBA skills highly desired.
- Must be a team player with the ability to work independently.
- Experience with SQL.
- Strong aptitude for problem solving.
- Experience with the Bloomberg product a plus.
- Commitment to developing innovative processes and improving the product.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Programming background a plus.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics or Computer Science preferred.
