Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a 1st shift position with a background in machining to join our client’s well-established manufacturing facility.
Our ideal candidate possesses the following experience:
- CNC Machining
- Live tool machining
- Writing own programs
- Set up and operation of various machines
- Machining of tools of various classes
- Ensuring efficiency in the machining process
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set up and operate all classes of machines as instructed
- Independently set up and operate one or more classes of machining operations, including:
- Milling
- Drilling
- Sharpening
Provide machining operations expertise within the facility Develop manufacturing sketches per sample part Conduct all inspection functions including Dimensional Inspection and Assembly Inspection Establish and implement ways to reduce set-up times for machining and grinding of various industrial components Assist groups within the facility to improve manufacturability and cost of products Perform direct labor activities in the machining of gears, bearings, and related parts Develop methods / processes to reduce manufacturing cycle times Work with machine tool suppliers to establish productivity improvement ideas that can be executed Ensure the accuracy and integrity in labor and data reporting
Requirements include but are not limited to:
- 5 years experience working in machining
- Experience with the following:
- CNC Lathe Machining (Monarch, Summit)
o Live tool machining
- Lathes
- Machining gears and/or bearings
- Experience writing and editing your own programs
- Dimensional Inspection
- Assembly Inspection
- Reverse Engineering
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to operate a computer
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
