CNC Machinist II - Two Positions Open!

Our client in the City of Tualatin has two CNC Machinist Level II positions open. These are immediate needs and are long-term, full-time positions. We will fill these position on either a direct hire or temp-to-hire basis depending on the strength of your skills and qualifications. The schedules available are: Day - 6:00am-2:30pm (Monday through Friday) Swing - 2:00-10:0pm (Monday through Friday) or 2:00pm-12:00am if you prefer a four day work week JOB DESCRIPTION: CNC set-up and run machinist for quick turn prototype and low/mid-volume production parts. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: To include but not limited to the following: - CNC mill set-up and operation of parts with varying complexity and precision (mostly high precision) - In-Process and first article inspection of parts to prints - Program edits as needed (at machine) - Custom or standard fixture development and setup Working hours: Day or Swing JOB QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS (interested candidates should ONLY apply if you possess the following qualifications/skills): - Experienced in the set-up and run of both 3 and 4 axis vertical CNC mills - Excellent print reading skills. Knowledgeable about GDT - Experienced with multiple metrology tools for measuring and recording part dimensions - Experienced with metal (SST, titanium, aluminum) and plastics machining PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS: - Self-Starter / Self-Motivated / Flexible / Detail Oriented - Reliable and dependable - Positive customer focused attitude - Enjoys fast pace and rapidly changing environment - Honest with solid integrity - Professional demeanor and respectful to people in all situations - Flexible and willing to help others as needs and tasks change often - Team player WORKING CONDITIONS: - Works primarily in a machine shop environment. - May on a continuous basis stand, walk, bend and lift up to 40 lbs. - Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. - Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. - Must be flexible to perform limited part finishing and/or assembly work as needed. - The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. - Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
