CNC Machinist Job in Colorado Springs 80916, Colorado Us
Sets-up and operates CNC and Manual Machinery in accordance to Safety Practices, Operational Manuals and direct input from his/her Supervisor or Lead. Runs complex programs on CNC machines and observes the operation of the equipment to ensure the accuracy of the part to the Customer’s drawing. Manually checks machine function by using measuring devices to ensure work output is within acceptable limits. Solves technical issues without additional help in most cases but seeks knowledge from Team Leader when complex machining challenges are encountered.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· All those associated with a Machinist II either Manual or CNC.
· Understands fully Springs Fabrication’s Policy Statement, commitment to ISO and Safety.
· Able to read and understand complex machining blueprints.
· Able to write simple machining programs on several different controllers.
· Sets-up and runs complex machining operations on the Haas Lathe, Feeler, GL, Femco Vertical Mills and Femco HBC..
· Observes machine operation to detect malfunctions, adjust machine controls and offsets with minimal or no supervision.
· Periodically inspects parts during run and after completion to ensure parts are accurate.
· Ability to perform advanced and complex machine set-ups and read tooling lists, blueprints and manufacturing diagrams.
· Ability to use standard measuring equipment to measure dimensions and tolerances
