COMPANY PROFILE:
Fluidyne Corp is a manufacturer of short run machined components and assemblies for naval applications, specializing in valve related items. We have been a prime contractor to the Navy since our inception in 1984 and a subcontractor to both Newport News Shipbuilding and Electric Boat Corp for the majority of that time. A considerable portion of our business supports both the Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion and Level I/Subsafe programs. Consequently, the quality of our product is vital to our success.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Potential candidates must have at least 5 years experience with the programming, set-up and machining of precision milled parts. Lathe experience is a plus.
NOTE: We are also seeking a utility machinist capable of sufficiently operating both CNC and conventional mills and lathes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to produce parts per drawing requirements with minimal supervision.
- Must have strong background with the use of SolidWorks and Mastercam software.
WORK HOURS:
This position requires a 48 hour minimum work week, with additional overtime available subject to supervisor approval. Depending on the number of hours worked, employees may start as early as 6:00 AM, but no later than 7:00 AM. Our lunch period is 30 minutes. We do not work on weekends. Our machine shop is fully air conditioned and the air conditioners are used on a regular basis.
