NEX-TECH MACHINING, a division of H. M. Dunn Company, Inc. has several CNC MACHINIST positions open.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

To follow work instructions and specifications to set up and operate NC milling machines to very close tolerances, and to operate these machines for precision work producing aircraft parts from aluminum, steel, and titanium.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·         Operates all common machine shop equipment and hand tools skillfully

·         Works from prints or drawings to produce a variety of aircraft parts

·         Assists other machine operators as needed to develop skills and to produce production parts to specifications

·         Follows lockout-tagout procedures when machines must be shut down for repair

·         Maintains safe and tidy work environment

·         Dimensionally check parts (less CMM)

·         Make complete and accurate set-ups with minimal assistance

·         Train and assist other Team members

·         Make minor (speeds feeds) program changes

·         Verify tool lengths and cutter run out

·         Trouble shoot a job

·         Operate more than one machine

·         Maintain a less than 1% piece scrap rate on a six month rolling average

·         Maintain a 90% productivity average on a six month rolling average

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·         2+ years experience, or graduate of technical school, or completion of a full apprenticeship program

·         Able to read directions, job orders, prints, and specifications

·         GDT skills

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

·         Lift more than 50 lbs

·         Stand for long periods of time

·         Hot in summer – limited climate control in production areas

 

Positions are Full Time - 1st 2nd Shifts.  All positions are 12 hour shifts on a continuous 2-2-3 schedule that includes 3 or 4 scheduled days off per week, built-in OT, and 3-day weekends every other week.  This schedule provides FULL time pay even though team members work only 182 days per year.
