Project Leader - Product Maintenance

Position Description:    The company's Technology Platform (TP) function manages a world wide
construction equipment technology organization with over 1500 engineers, technologists, designers
and other colleagues. Globally, the Electrical and Electronic Systems technology platform is
developing and maintaining electrical and electronic systems for all machines. It is a fast
growing technology area with a global organization in 11 different departments at 7 locations in 6
countries.

We are searching for a functional project leader for the product maintenance (PM) role in
Pennsylvania. The PM group is responsible for maintaining and updating our designs in the field and
factory as well as providing support to the NPD groups with valuable expertise and quality
improvements.

Core Responsibilities
•         Ensure internal and external quality meets requirements of company
•         Lead on-going product updates-issues within EE product maintenance team
•         Review, negotiate and suggest approval of required design improvements and/or changes to
address identified issues in the field and factory
•         Provide technical and operational leadership in the EE product maintenance team
•         Participate in cross functional reviews to support the overall PM function at the machine level.
•         Participate in or lead root cause analysis activities with the other technology groups
•         Provide design assistance to the manufacturing line
•         Initiate and manage work packages to perform work in off-site locations
•         Promote efficient workflow within the group and track group effectiveness
•         Participate in one or more Global Reference Groups
•         Ensure good engineering design practices are followed
•         Review and approve EE PM team members’ ECNs
 
Minimum Years of Experience Required
•         Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in vehicular electronics, preferably within heavy vehicle
electrical and electronic systems.

Minimum Education Required
•         BS Degree in Electrical Engineering
