CNC Programmers / Horizontal Borers Job in Newcastle, Tyne-Tees Uk
The Company
Our client, an established, progressive business with a strong order book and customer base are looking for CNC Programmers and Horizontal borers as well as turners and millers to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Positions
- You are required to produce small batch work and one off components to drawing tolerance and specifications, effectively and accurately as required by customer specifications.
- Activities will include programming components ranging from 1 off precision small quantity batch work which will require interpretation of engineering drawings.
- If working on the horizontal borer you will be using a Giddings and Lewis with a GE-Fanuc Series 310 system (multi-axis).
- Huron horizontal borer with a TNC 415 Heidenhain system or Mazak 6800 and 10800 with mazatrol system (multi- axis)
- Various metals include mild steel, duplex and various castings.
- Working on Jobs ranging from 5 inch diameter bodies to block bodies over 5 foot square.
- These vacancies provide the opportunity to work on a range of shifts including a continental shift pattern based on 12 hour shifts giving potential annual earnings in the region of £40k - £45k.

The Person
- Due to an exciting period of growth and product development the company is now looking to recruit a number of experienced CNC Horizontal Borers, Machine Operators and Turners.
- You should be competent in programming methods.
- Previous experience of using high grade materials is desirable together with the use of facing attachments.
