CNC Programmer/Setup Technician Job in Greater Greenville/Laurens County 29607, South Carolina US

We are currently seeking CNC Programmers/Setup Technicians to work at ZF`s new facility in the Greater Greenville/Laurens county area.
Position Summary: Set up and operation of metal-cutting machines
Role Expectations:
- Set up conventional, CNC and robotic machines for Hobbing, Hard Rotational Turning, Power Honing, Interior Honing, Lapping, Laser Welding.
- Thorough knowledge of CNC programming G M code programming.
- Maintain gage integrity and ensure proper function
- Perform tool changes and changeovers
- Provide materials and prepare tools
- Adjust speeds, feeds and tools according to blueprints and setup sheets
- Optimize machining sequences by changing tool order, program sequences, and fixtures
- Ability to train future set up techs.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and modify programs
- Perform first piece inspections, gain approvals and adjust settings as necessary
- Insert, clamp and align work pieces
- Perform tool trials and studies
- Check parts for dimensional accuracy and consistency
- Correct setting data, fixations, etc.
- Investigate errors, initiate corrective actions and track progress
- Define the sequence of production orders in machine utilization to align with the scheduled production program (e.g. variants, testing)
- Process and present indicators of productivity and capacity
- Ensure compliance with default values
- Conduct testing as required
- Resolve disturbances (e.g. change and adjust equipment)
- Communicate descriptions of disturbances to the maintenance leadership
- Initiate activities of process optimization
- Maintain coolant systems integrity per specification
- Perform other duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent and Associates Degree in a technical field or five (5) years experience in a related technical area with technical certifications.
- Demonstrate understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
- Demonstrate understanding of PLC Program Logic.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Office software: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Preferred Skills and experience:
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot automated equipment using Siemens (Step 7) software ladder logic.
- Demonstrated ability to write CNC programs (SINUMERIC 840D).
- Demonstrated experience in Motor / Motor Drive Troubleshooting
- Demonstrated experience in Hydraulic Component Troubleshooting
- Demonstrated experience in Pneumatic Component Troubleshooting
- Demonstrated basic understanding of robotics.
