Supervisor/Leadman – CNC Lathe
We are currently looking for a Supervisor/Leadman (Day or Night shift) to lead and supervise our machinists. We offer a stable work environment. The CNC department has 14 CNC lathes, half of which are less than five years old. Our CNC shop is clean, safe and climate controlled. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for insuring the safe and efficient operation of the production department while meeting customer needs.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of five years in a manufacturing environment.
2. Excellent mathematical and written/oral communications skills.
3. Strong working knowledge of CNC lathe programming, machining, materials, and equipment.
4. Working with tubular threads, especially premium oilfield threading, and supervisory experience will help you to get this position.
Duties:
Supervisor/Leadman will control and direct the daily operation of the production department including staffing, disciplinary actions, compensation and reporting.
1. Daily job assignments
2. Implementation of production schedule in cooperation with Manufacturing Manager
3. Train machinists, material handlers, operators and other personnel
4. Communicate with sales, quality and warehouse personnel
5. Supervise production and assist in preparation of daily production reports
6. Set-up and operate CNC lathes as required
7. Assist in managing gage rentals with the assistance of the premium thread coordinator
8. Perform routine safety walk-throughs
9. Maintain plant cleanliness and organization
This position will be a rotating day shift work schedule which will include some weekends.
